Q.1 You read about the hearing impairment in unit 1, as a teacher for hearing impaired children in what areas of child education would you expect to find problems because of their hearing impairment? Support your answer with examples. (5+10+5)
Q.2 Discuss the medical aspects of deafness. Also draw diagram of human ear, label its different parts and explain their functions. (8+5+7)
Q.3 Discuss the characteristics of sound? How would you as a teacher of deaf use this knowledge in measuring and recording the hearing of a child? (6+14)
Q.4 Differentiate among Pure-tone audiogram, speech audiogram and impedance audiogram. What are the internationally recognized symbols of reference are being used for the standardization of the measuring of hearing? (12+8)
Q.5 What is the difference between the effects of conductive and sensory-neural deafness on children’s ability for speech? How would you as a teacher of deaf help these children for the development of speech? (8+12)
