Q. 1 Elaborate Spencer’s thesis of ‘correlation between social aggregates and organic aggregates’.
Q. 2 Discuss and analyse August Comte’s hypothesis: “the natural laws regulate the progress of civilisation.” Do you agree/disagree with Comte’s views that these laws are uniformly applicable to all nations?
Q. 3 Evaluate Marx’s theory of ‘class struggle’. Elaborate his views about the society based on the antagonism of oppressing and oppressed classes.
Q. 4 Do you agree with Spengler’s views that “culture is the prime phenomenon of all past and future world history”? Answer the question in the light of his theory of ‘the life cycle of culture’.
